Random 101

A blog post about random things. Quite often, I have so many things running through my mind. It’s like a big white board or chalk board(took you back to the 90’s, right lol) with different ideas and concepts written all over it. Clouded with different topics and goals and dreams. I love the very idea that my mind is set up this way. Now, don’t get me wrong, sometimes it can create a jam of nonsense, but I enjoy the fact that my mind is creative and thoughtful on so many levels.

This post is so that I can get some of those random thoughts and ideas out. I’ve figured out a few things since the last time that I posted and I like the idea that I can piece things together by just expelling some of the ideas that I have. It’s sort of hard to talk about some of the things that I have on my mind. It’s hard for me to say that I have no one that I feel really understands me or even wants to understand me on the level that I need it at times. Quite sad….really, but I’ve learned to live with it.

Anyway, my first random thought is about my artwear. Just talking about it makes me smile. 🙂 I have created a line of jewelry that allows me to use my creativity and recycle. We live in a world where there is so much waste. It’s quite ridiculous really. In the United States, we have so many people who are spoiled and wasteful. Many who have no concern for the future and only want to live their best life. Now….don’t get me wrong, I looooove living my best life! I love being able to wake up each morning and do whatever I want(for the most part). I love waking up to the man that I love sleeping right beside me and not have to worry about what most women worry about. I have my own issues but nothing like what I hear and see most women go through where a man is concerned. My mission in life though is to make sure that there is a world for my son to bring forth his own children some day. My mission is to make sure that I have a legacy, but without a world….what is a legacy?

I believe that as humans, we take so much for granted. Without going into this long explanation about history and the changes to history, this is 2018 and if we don’t get right, there may be no 22nd century. For some reason, I’ve been seeing a lot of movies(and before you judge me, listen first lol) about human extinction. Yes, I know that they are just movies, but there is a reason that these movies are even being made. The ideology had to come from somewhere and naturally once the idea is in the Universe, who is to say that it may come to fruition?

The one movie that sticks out in my head right now is called Inferno. If I am not mistaken, it was actually a book written by Dan Brown and then made into a movie. This book is in a list of books that were bought to life concerning the same character, Professor Langdon. In the movie, Professor Langdon comes to find out that an eccentric, young, U.S. billionaire has developed this plan to release an airborne toxin that will kill more that 2/3 of the worlds population. The billionaire believes that by releasing the toxin, it will actually save the world. In all seriousness, who is to say that there is not a billionaire or even millionaire out there already planning and plotting in such a manner. The guy believed that the world is becoming crowded and that over time humans would become the 6th extinct species. He believed that if we continue to populate and over extend the planet, we would all die.

So I guess, my dream of recycling and upcycling everything will soon be more than just a dream. My jewelry and accessories use upcycled textiles so that waste can be less of a problem. I recognize that I am not the only person doing this, but it feels good to know that I am kind of doing my part. I want to be known for more that what I create but also that I made a huge impact on the world. I’ve always thought big and while that can be a problem at times….I believe it to be a blessing.

The name of my dream is Strut Artwear. I will talk more about Strut soon but here is just the intro.

Until Next Time,

Divine Opportunist
