Growth…

PersonalGrowth_words

I would like to think that personal growth is a goal that keeps on giving. Personal development is a task that should never cease. It is the gas that can fuel your dreams. Personal development covers activities that improve awareness and identity, develop talents and potential, build human capital and facilitate employability(if that’s what you want), enhance the quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations. By working on who you are, you are developing the person that you are.

Transformation can be beautiful. Transforming who you are (especially into a better person) is fundamental to who you are as a person. Just as a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly….so can you. Humans have been given the ultimate gift. We can be whatever we want to be. We can believe and then transform ourselves into whatever we want to be.

Reading is a great way to transform. The internet has made many things possible. While riding in your car, you are can listen to books on YouTube! Thirty years ago this was not possible but because someone believed that evolution is possible we can do a lot of things that were not possible. I remember my Father bringing home our first computer. He wasn’t really sure of what it could do but he knew that it was important to the future of his kids. We had that pesky dial up internet but it made it possible for us to reach out and taste what the internet had to offer.

The internet has also made it possible for people to be whatever they want to be. Many have used it to their advantage. Creating businesses from just an idea. Building wealth from just advertising or finding an avenue that allowed people to get their product or service to the masses. The internet has revolutionized the way we do business. It has created so much…why not use it to create a better you? There are podcasts, internet radio shows, blogs, vlogs, and so much more that can help create a wealth of knowledge for everyone.

In the search of personal growth, have you considered all of the opportunities that have been placed before you? Google has changed how I researched everything. If I have a question about anything, I Google it. I encourage my son to use it like its a library…because it is. If you have a mobile phone or tablet, you have a mobile device that allows you to research anything at anytime. Are you using it to your advantage or do you use it for its basic intended purposes? Being an opportunist is not as bad as it may seem, especially if you are using those opportunities to your advantage.

We are constantly (and hopefully consistently) learning lessons and growing as a result. We should always give ourselves permission not to know everything now and it’s important to know where we are in the process of our growth. We must also understand that our personal growth NEVER STOPS. As long as you are alive, growth is imminent. No matter our current phase in life, though, there are three rules stay the same:

1. Don’t expect yourself to be anywhere other than where you are. Accept your current place on YOUR path.

2. Anticipate the very next phase beyond the one you’re in, so you can be prepared for it when it arrives. The Future is always ten steps ahead.

3. Be compassionate and understanding to others, regardless of their progress, on their own personal journey. It’s this compassion that will allow you to share your journey with others.

I hope that you find what I have shared helpful, because we all need help on this journey. The truth wealth lies in the knowledge that you have acquired and are able to pass on to others.
