Above all, regardless of life’s craziness, I AM A MOTHER. I gave birth to Princess Chloe in late February with no major complications considering my history. This pregnancy was pretty uneventful to say the least. My first pregnancy was plagued with high blood pressure and preeclampsia. I’ve written previously about my first pregnancy as well as my journey with Lupus in other blog posts. If you would like to read more, please check out my blog and follow me!
My heart goes out to all of the Mothers who have given birth to their bundles of joy and sunshine during this shadowy and shady pandemic. Amid the craziness, there are women who are still giving birth to the next generation fearful and fearless at the same time. There are women who have to not only “flawlessly” handle everyday life, motherly things and baby things, but we also must integrate the new norm into everyday life and push forward during times such as these.

We are seven months into the year 2020 and I’m not sure about other Mother’s but these last few months have been more or less….scary. I currently have a four month old and I must admit that sometimes I’m a little bit more stressed out because of everything that is going on. I am still under quarantine not only for my daughters sake but also my own. I’m under a self imposed quarantine but…don’t get me wrong, we go out maybe once or twice a week as well as practice social distancing while we are out and about.
I currently live in South Carolina and we are required to wear a mask in public. Most businesses recommend/require that you wear one while shopping. I have heard in the wind that if you are caught without a mask you could receive a ticket. The active cases have increased in South Carolina since the U.S. reopened which I find to be a little odd considering how small and “progressive” we are. Are the face masks the new permanent norm? Will people with autoimmune disorders be recommended to permanently wear a face mask?
If you have questions, concerns or just comments, please don’t hesitate to send me a message! I love positive communication and vibes.
